Thru the Lens - Local Filmmakers Showcase

Submit your film/s for consideration in our yearly showcase

• Submission deadline: Monday, August 19th 4pm

• Physical submission: USB flash drive

• Duration: Between 2-20 minutes

• Must include credits

• Frame rate: Any industry standard

• Video export size: 16:9 or 21:9 aspect ratio, 1920 x 1080p (absolutely no other resolutions allowed, letterboxing is okay).

• Export encoding: MP4 (.mov or .mp4), progressive, high quality bitrate (we will be converting these to DCPs)

• Film lineup will be announced on September 2nd

• Theater date: TBD (we are looking at September)

• All films make it into our digital distribution

• Films selected for the theater showcase will receive 2 VIP tickets

• Entry fee - $25. Collected at the time of delivery (if a fee is collected from another NCM challenge, one is NOT collected here)

• This is open to participants in Nevada, Yuba, and Placer Counties
