NCM Launches Acting Program

January brings many new excitments. One being the launching of the NCM Screen Actors Workshop. This is part of our FilmNevadaCounty program, which focuses on bringing paid film projects to Nevada County.

This portion of the program is about curating local on-camera actors. We achieve this by shooting a scene from a short film each month. This workshop is really two workshops. An acting and a crew workshop. They are open to all in the community to improve their skills and give them the knowledge to create their own films.

The Screen Actors Workshop is a great workshop for both beginner and seasoned actors. The scripts are designed to create stand-alone videos, yet be as captivating as a full movie.

Each month, the NCM interns, mentors, and staff combine their efforts with people from the community to create a short film. Built into the program is the ability to get the coaching needed to help grow your skills. Information to participate can be found on the NCM Website.
