The event will end with some amazing music by the legendary Tommy Coster. Chris Golden will be accompanying him. We will open the doors to the studio at 5:45 for those who wish to come see Tommy perform live.

About Tommy:

Tommy was born in northern California on June 10, 1966. He started playing keyboards at age 4 and co-wrote his first song with Carlos Santana at age 11. By the time he was 12 he had received his first gold record for his work on Santana's Moonflower album. At age 19 he attended Berklee College of Music in Boston for 2 years majoring in Jazz Composition. He moved to Los Angeles in 1992 and continued his career as a studio musician and composer. In 1999 he began working with Dr. Dre, and at the age of 33 he had conceptualized and co-written one of the biggest songs in the history of Hip Hop, Eminem's, "The Real Slim Shady". Tommy went on to win 2 Grammys, sell over 70 Million records and receive RIAA's Diamond Award, in which only 140 projects in the history of music have ever received this award.

NCM is seeking a host to not only tell the stories about the tech that came out of Nevada County, but to also chat with guests and get the stories not so well known. This will not only be a show about video tech (but it will start there and be a big part of this show).

This monthly program will focus on one company or product each month. NCM already has a bit of work done on this….it just needs a great host. For this casting call we will be talking about the creation of the Grass Valley EMU.

If this is of interest to you, send us a message and we will share with you the recorded interview with the man who created it. We are excited to see what you do with it.

NCM is seeking one more person to fill the host seat for our new addition to the Nevada County Now program. This is a short piece that recaps a recent topic at one of the local government meetings. We currently have 2 hosts and are seeking a third.

If you are interested in local government, or just want to gain more experience as a host. This may the project for you. Here is how it works:

You will be assigned a jurisdiction, you research one of the items discussed at a previous meeting, and write the script to give a recap of the outcome (we have video to make this easy). It is delivered on-camera using a teleprompter. This is not an opinion piece. It is a piece to help break down the issue and educate the community.

Enjoy magic, wonder, and fun stories from Sequoia the Forest Fairy, Chris the Bard, Scotty the Musician, and Fergus the Dragon at this interactive, enchanting show geared toward kids aged 3-7.

All ages welcome, costumed encouraged. This is a recorded program. Kids do not need to appear on camera. Doors open at 10am, show starts promptly at 10:15. This is free!

NCM is located at 355 Crown Point Circle, behind Analog Devices.

This is a free required certification class for NCM Members who wish to create their own video or audio content using the small NCM Studio. In this class you will be familiarized with the set-up and equipment. Registration is REQUIRED for this class.

Grab a friend and come help make some amazing props and sets for upcoming NCM programs. This once a month hands-on activity is for all who enjoy the crafty side things. No experience needed. If Halloween is your thing……we have just the project for you. Come participate in putting together the largest Haunted House Experience in Nevada County. In this virtual meeting we will discuss ideas and how you can participate. Complete the information below and you will be sent the zoom invite link.

Help us celebrate the rich culture both here locally and afar.

Each year NCM gathers a variety of Native American content to play not only during the month of November, but all year long. People can submit a variety of video pieces that depict any Native American Tribe. Any length. 1920x1080 min resolution. These can be dropped off on a thumb drive or WeTransfered to stationmanager@nevadacountytv.org

Don’t miss this opportunity to be included.

On Friday & Saturday October 18th & 19th NCM will be running horror films outside (during our HorrorFest Haunted House). Submit your film for consideration.

Films can be any length between 2 & 20 minutes. Deliver as 1920x1080 mp4. Drop off or send via the method of your choice.

Grab a friend and join us for a haunting good time. Purchase a single ticket (one trip), or a wristband (unlimited trips good for both days) through our 10,000 square foot indoor haunted house. Stick around and enjoy the outdoor movie and scary stories by the campfire (weather permitting). Don’t forget to grab some food and drinks from the food truck, but try to avoid the zombies.

• 4-5pm Non-scary trick or treat version

• 5-9pm The scary version

• Single Ticket - $10, kids 5 & under are free

• Wristband (good for both days, non transferable, must remain intact) - $30

Be prepared to pay cash at the door just in case the card system goes down
