Support local & get your name out there

  • $100 - A 15-45 second spot for a single episode

  • $500 - A 15-45 second spot for 10 continuous episodes

  • $1,000 - A “Sponsored by” message for a month. This includes a 14-45 second spot

  • Spots can be supplied or created by NCM (guidelines - see below). Extra fees may apply for the creation of the spots.

  • Spots are embedded in the video file and stay with the video forever. When you buy a spot, you are having it embedded into a particular program. MCM may use the spot as filler in other NCM programming.

  • NCM is a 501c3. Donations are tax deductible. Your donation is greatly appreciated and helps us do all we do for the community

  • Business and nonprofit members receive a 10% discount (from full price)

Advertising aka Underwriting a Project

Video is effective - Reach a lot of People

If you are trying to reach a local, regional, or national target audience, video is one of the most effective ways to advertise. Because there is no commercial clutter, your message will always stand out. We keep it simple. All you need to do is choose a project you are wanting to underwrite and we take it from there. NCM creates and places programs (videos) across multiple platforms, which include YouTube, Roku, Cable, Spotify, and more.

Those wishing to underwrite an NCM production can benefit from many things. One item is that the cost of underwriting can be deducted as a business marketing or promotional expense. The underwriters message are forever embedded into the video/s, regardless of where it plays.

What commercial broadcasters call “advertising,” we in public media refer to as “underwriting.” Underwriting announcements are factual and seek to inform listeners about a service rather than induce them to purchase a product.

Here are a few stats.

  • NC Media content reaches beyond Nevada County, but we focus on local viewers

  • Nevada County currently has approximately 11,000 cable subscribers, we operate 3 cable channels that reach from Auburn to Truckee

  • Our YouTube numbers vary per video, from a few to 50,000+ views per video

  • Our YouTube channel contains thousands of local videos

  • The NCM Roku and Spotify channels launch fall of 2024

  • NCM markets our shows to various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, and more)

Spot Guidelines

Spots must not have a call to action. They can direct the audience to learn more from a website.

Things to avoid: No comparisons, qualitative, sales pitches, buy now, subscribe, Get your free whatever.

Things ok to do: Spots intended to evoke a feeling about a brand rather than direct comparison or price.

NCM has the final say if a pre-created spot can run, or if copy of a script needs to be changed.

Spots will run 15% or less of program time
