Developing Your Story Workshop (Online) - 2nd Monday @ 11:00-12:30pm

  • This includes an Assignment and Q&A/Assignment Review

  • Assignment MUST be done prior to attending

  • Runs every month except October

  • Assignment: Create a one page bullet outline for your story, Include setting, plot. conflict. theme (beginning, middle, end). You will be delivering a 1-2 minute elevator pitch to the camera during the session.

Marketing 101 Workshop (Online) - 2nd Monday @ 11:00-12:30pm

  • This includes an Assignment and Q&A/Assignment Review

  • Assignment MUST be done prior to attending

  • Runs every month except October

  • Assignment: Create a simple marketing plan for anything on the NCM website. You will be delivering a 1-2 minute verbal presentaion of your plan to the camera during the session.

Presenting to the Camera Workshop (Online) - 2nd Monday @ 11:00-12:30pm

  • This includes an Assignment and Q&A/Assignment Review

  • Assignment MUST be done prior to attending

  • Runs every month except October

  • Assignment: Create a 30 second presentation (talking directly to the camera). No b-roll. You will be presenting this to the camera during the session.

Understanding YouTube as a Viewer Workshop (Online) - 2nd Monday @ 11:00-12:30pm

  • This includes an Assignment and Q&A/Assignment Review

  • Assignment MUST be done prior to attending

  • Assignment: Create a playlist on your channel (linking to other material). You will be sharing this during the session.

The Art of Interviewing Workshop (Online) - 2nd Monday @ 11:00-12:30pm

  • Assignment: You will be conducting a 3-5 minute interview of the host to learn more about NCM

Video Editing 101 /EditFest Activity (In-Person) - 1st Tuesday @ 3:30 - 5:00pm

  • In this activity you will receive a prompt and a variety of digital assets. You will have approximately one hour to create a video

  • This activity uses our laptops and pre-determined software

  • Assignment: Watch the short tutorial on how to use our software

  • Activity: Editing footage from a prompt

  • Activity: Creating a shotlist and assigning crew positions for an upcoming project. Scene set-up for the current shoot

  • Remaining positions will be assigned upon arrival (if you can not make the 2pm meeting). Please be on time

  • Activity: Running production for scripted acting performance. This will be recorded

  • Activity: Those not assigned a position will record the performance on their cell-phones

  • Activity: Record your 15 minute podcast with your guest

  • Podcasts will be used in the NCM distribution, as well as your own use
